/I'll never forget the day I received a message from the groom's mother that read, "We're having a wedding on a cruise in June, would that be something you are interested in?" Mmmm...let me check my schedule real quick - YES, YES, YES!
So I loaded up my best friend as my "assistant" & boarded a cruise ship for a week that I'll never forget.
Nico & her sister got ready in the cruise's spa. Then we departed the ship onto the beautiful island of St. Maarten. First stop? An intimate civil ceremony.
They're MARRIED - well almost. That afternoon their wedding guests joined them at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church for a sweet ceremony. The bride, Nico, had her mother's dress from the 1980s remade into her very own.
I now pronounce you as husband & wife!
Now let's celebrate!
Later that evening we boarded back on the MSC Divinia Cruise Ship for some cake & dancing!
I must confess I cried more during this wedding than most. All because these two made me family and what an honor it was to capture their unique wedding day. I wouldn't have traded it for anything. And now I only book destination weddings! (Kidding, sorta.)
